17 Weeks & 2 Days
Not feeling so good today. I’m now 17 weeks and 2 days pregnant and think I am actually starting to feel pregnant rather than permanently ill. For the first, at least, 12 weeks, as you know, I just felt absolutely exhausted ALL of the time, sick pretty much all day and basically dead up to the neck. For the last couple of weeks I have been feeling positively better though. Sleeping much better, not feeling as sick and everyone has been saying I look ‘blooming’. I would have said I felt pretty blooming too, I’m now clearly pregnant and u can tell by looking at me that I’m pregnant rather that just bloated. But this morning I feel shite! For the past of couple of days I have had pains in my right side and this morning I think I may have pulled what ever was already hurting cos the as soon as I make any kind of movements it’s really uncomfortable. I also have a cracking headache and just feel like I ought to be curled up in bed!!
Anyway… Been to the Early Pregnancy Unit this morning for a little advice as to if this pain I was getting was normal and they reassured me that it was just growing pains and due to the fact that I have had quite extensive gynae surgery I also have lots if adhesions that also have to stretch and that’s slightly more painful than normal stretching! But…. Bonus, they did me a scan just to be on the safe side and WOW!!!! Baby is just fascinating, literally could see it’s spine and fingers and it’s little mouth opening and it was throwing it’s arm and legs around – AMAZING!
WE have another scan in 3 weeks which is the anomaly scan that detects abnormalities and things. This will also be the first scan that Matt gets to see so I can’t wait for that. When we went to the midwife last Thursday Matt got to hear the heart beat and it blew him away… think it’s finally sinking in for us both now and it’s all getting so exciting.
Had a pretty chilled weekend, Matt was working all day Sat then we nipped and did some shopping and my Dad came to see us to pick up his fathers day card. He also gave us a gift towards help with setting up for the baby which is just fantastic and will be such a fantastic help to us.
Yesterday Matt was at football so I had a nice leisurely shower and got ready and we went to Babies Galore Worksop and saw a lovely cot. We then went out for a meal last night to TGI Fridays to celebrate my brother’s birthday, his fiancées birthday and their engagement so that was lovely… Although perhaps that’s why I’m feeling rubbish today as I couldn’t sleep due to indigestion!
Tonight is gonna be a chill out night, think a nice bath will do that pains good and an early night always does you the world of good doesn’t it!

Up Rolls a Riot Van
Went to the Talbot last night for the second instalment of Team Talbot’s football presentation and it was a really good night, very chilled and also rather amusing! It was their official presentation Sat night at the Festival Hall in Kirkby which was also a good night, especially cos it’s the first time I’ve been out since Christmas… anyway, last night the Manager, Les, gave out joke certificates and Matt got the ‘Wayne Rooney – ‘For F*ck sake Ref’ award!!! Very fitting too I thought!!! Food was laid on everything and the whole team semt to really bond last night and all the WAGS were there and I spoke to a couple of the girls I hadn’t really spoken to much before so it was quite a successful night! I have to say, I think some of the WAGS take their role far to serious… it makes me laugh, after all I am queen of the WAGS considering my man is the Captain but seriously you would think the lads played for England the way some of them go on!! Entertains me though!
As the night drew on it was all nice and chilled in the pub then this silly drunken boy decides he’s going to kick off with the landlord so it all ends up kicking off outside… Hence the title ‘Up Rolls a Riot Van’… this luckily enough only turned into a little scuffle as the whole of the football team and majority of the lads playing poker all went out side to back up the landlord… so cute, they all had each others backs! Ha! Anyway, 3 police cars, police dogs and a riot van later they take this 1 person away!!! Is it just me or would that have been a complete waste of police time and tax payers money? 1 car with 2 officers would have been quite adequate as the little scuffle never really developed!
I had Monday off work as I had an appointment at Nottingham from my accident I had in January. Matt had the day off too and we had such a lovely day, we went to Nottingham, then to Meadow Hall where he made me have some new clothes (oh he is fab), then I had a dentist appointment and I’m pleased to say my teeth are perfect… Still no fillings!!! I’ll be absolutely gutted the day I have to have a filling, I feel it quite an achievement that at 24 I don’t have 1 single filling… Excellent!!!
We have also booked a week off work, 9th – 13th July, can’t wait for that, a week off together will be awesome; we also have a scan that week and an appointment with the Obstetric Consultant. I can’t wait for the scan as it will be the first time Matt has seen the baby (apart from the scan pics). All is going well with the pregnancy, I’m 16 weeks and 4 days today, time is absolutely flying by!
Want to just say thanks to Kristy for some help she gave me last week, I was feeling rather head fooked over something, that in comparison to her probs at the mo is menial, but anyway, she listened to me moaned, advised me what to do and I think I’m slight less head fooked now!!! Cheers Babe!
Also a big thanks to Ally for my lovely present she got me to celebrate my pregnancy, A Book called ‘The Yummy Mummy’s Survival Guide’ I think this is such a lovely thoughtful gift and meant so much… so thanks Ally!!! I love it!
Apologies
I’m very sorry for the lack of bloggin of late, but do u know what, I’m really struggling finding the motivation to blog… that’s bad isn’t it!! I’m actually struggling for motivation for everything at the moment! I blame it on the pregnancy and the fact that it makes me so very tired.
Anyway, as for the pregnancy, I am now 15 weeks and 4 days which is awesome and I’m getting quite a belly on me and actually think I look pregnant now rather than just fat!! Everything is going pretty well I think, I am actually sleeping at night now, I seem to be suffering with headaches at the moment and I was extremely sick yesterday but other than that I don’t suppose I can complain… No major sickness really, just the tiredness I have found hard to deal with.
On to other news… I’m not really sure what to say with regards to Big Brother… I’m hooked (as usual) but can’t say I’m thoroughly enjoying it at the moment. I find most of the housemates really superficial and so immensely big headed. There is only really Laura that I really like…. Oh and I quite like Nikki. I HATE Charley and I really hope Ziggy puts her up for eviction!!!!

Want to just say a huge congrats to Ally on her house!!!! YAY!!! How very exciting is that… now the fun begins babe!!!! You just wait till the sold sign goes up… that made me giddy!!!!!
I’ve got to say at the moment that I’ve been thinking a lot about friends just lately and I gotta say… I don’t really have many people that I would class as my FRIENDS, I have plenty of acquaintances but not so many friends but do u know what… the friends I do have (and u know who u are) are worth their weight in gold and they truly mean the world to me!!!!
